Find Your Blisscipline

Have your heard of the term "Blisscipline?" It's my favorite new term!

Discipline is incredibly important in all areas of life.  Exercising discipline is crucial to obtaining things of value. The discipline of watching what you eat enables you to nourish your body well. Exercising discipline in your relationship (i.e. preferring the other person over yourself, being willing to compromise, maintaining purity in a pre-marital relationship) can help to make that relationship strong and healthy.

Spiritual discipline, too, is incredibly important in strengthening your relationship with the Lord. Hebrews 12:11 tells us that "No discipline feels pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."

Discipline in your work and business (i.e. scheduling time to write blog posts, interact with your followers, poll your customers, show up consistently online) can build your "know, like and trust" factor and set you up for success in your career.

However, with discipline, so often the focus can turn to a mentality of works-based achievement. And this leaves out one of the chief benefits of discipline.  When we are disciplined, we can actually RELAX!

Discipline is doing the things you know you need to do to grow in your spirituality, your business, your health and your relationships.  It is making time for the things that matter. Blisscipline is accepting that you are never completely in control of your circumstances and situation.  God holds that role!  And that's incredibly freeing.

Blisscipline is knowing that when you've done the disciplined things in your life, you can sit back and let God pour out the rewards of that discipline into your life.

After all, we are human BEINGS, not human DOINGS, right?

I'd love to hear what disciplines you have brought into your life that have yielded bliss:-) Comment below - I read every single note!

Now, go find your Blisscipline.
